KOA Metal Oxide Resistors
KOA Speer Electronics leaded resistor product line
includes metal oxide (MO) and reduced size metal oxide (MOS) power type
leaded resistors. KOA’s metal oxides are designed with a flame
retardant coating over a metal oxide film deposited on a ceramic core.
Lower values are available in both the MO and MOS series. With a high
reliability for performance they are suitable for automatic machine
insertion. Various types of taping and forming are offered, including
Axial, Stand-off Axial, Radial, and L, U, M forming. Tape & Reel or
bulk packaging is also available.
KOA’s MOS series (reduced size) resistors offer standard tolerances of ±1%, ±2%, and ±5%; a T.C.R. of ±300; and a resistance range of 0.1Ω ~ 100kΩ. They are available in ½, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 Watt applications. The MO series tolerance includes ±2% and ±5%; a T.C.R. of +200; and a resistance range of 0.2Ω ~ 150kΩ.
KOA Speer’s MO and MOS metal oxide power type resistor are utilized for both general (voltage divider, RC timing circuits, and pull-up/pull-down resistors) and surge (RC snubber circuits, current limiting, overload ground line) applications in the automotive, industrial and consumer industries.
