New low-profile, high-current inductors enhance space and power savings in DC/DC converter applications. Surface-mount Vishay Dale devices improve battery performance, help reduce size of portable and handheld electronic devices with low losses at frequencies up to 5 MHz, low DCR values, and have a height profile that is 30% lower than in conventional solutions.
Designed for DC/DC converter and energy storage applications, the IHLP 1616 series will be used to replace taller, larger, and/or lower-performing inductors, thus enabling lighter, thinner mobile and desktop computers, servers, cell phones, digital cameras, global positioning systems, and other handheld electronic products. Both inductor series are now available using an entirely lead-free construction.
