Panasonic QF Chip Inductors
The QF covers the 1 to 39 nH inductance range with its 0402 Case Size. The 0402 case size is one of the more popular case sizes for new designs due to its relatively small foot print which utilizes less area on the printed circuit board than larger case sizes. Additionally, it contains a lesser amount of parasitic elements of resistance and capacitance which accounts for its improved electrical performance.
In addition to offering a wide inductance range in the 0402 case size, it also has the benefit of higher Quality Factors (Qs) than the previously available parts. This laser-cut series also offers the advantage of being the lower-cost alternative to wire-wound technology parts. The QF Series can handle from 150 to 400 mA, while having a RDC max of 1.7 to 0.05 Ω.
