Vishay's new series of Mini Lug negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors with the industry’s smallest mounting space of 65 mm² / 0.1 in², and shortest response time of  < 4s will provide fast and accurate measurements over a wide temperature range from − 40 °C to + 125 °C.

In addition to their small diameter, the NTCALUG03 thermistors feature a tiny 5.5 mm ring tongue that can be mounted with M2 screws or American studs #1 to 2. These small dimensions, when combined with the devices’ silver plated nickel conductor, result in a low thermal gradient of < 5% of ΔT for accurate surface temperature measurement in space-limited applications. The devices are optimized for housing, heat-sink, power electronics, and pipe and conductor thermal management in test and measurement equipment, appliances, and industrial equipment.

The thermistors offer designers a choice of electrical resistance values at + 25 °C (R25) to meet the self heating, voltage output, or noise suppression needs of their application. The NTCALUG03 devices feature R25 of 10 kΩ, 12 kΩ, or 47 kΩ, with tolerances of ± 2 % and ± 3 %. The thermistors are available with an optional 1.5 mm pitch ZHR-2 connector, and offer customizable lead lengths and screw sizes, like M3 / American stud #3 to 4. The NTCALUG03 series is compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC.
