Delphi Connection Systems (DCS) has continued their active business reorganization and the evaluation of all aspects of their business, including:
TTI has received official notification that DCS will implement extensive price changes during the upcoming weeks. DCS has completed a thorough analysis of its product portfolio to ensure that their product lines are accurately and competitively priced. They have determined that a market price adjustment is necessary to both properly align their pricing between various product lines and to provide consistency within the respective product lines.
Additionally, commodity prices have increased significantly over the last two years as demand for copper, zinc, and silver continues to soar. DCS uses significant quantities of these commodities in the production of its terminals and is not able to continue to absorb these additional material costs. Therefore, the upcoming market price adjustment also incorporates commodity price adjustments.
Effective August 6, 2007 DCS will be implementing a market price adjustment on approximately 4,000 part numbers within their product portfolio. The impact of these changes will vary by customer based upon their unique requirements and usage.
TTI recognizes that these price changes put an additional burden and inconvenience on you, but given the current situation and market conditions, we have no other recourse. Your local TTI sales team will be contacting you to discuss the impact on the DCS product that you purchase from TTI. These changes will go into effect on August 13th.
