FCI recently developed a connector system that allows for AMC™ interface cards to direct-mate with a MicroTCA™ back panel. As the mating interface was already fully compliant to the AMC specification, the footprint has now also been standardized in the draft specification for MicroTCA™.

FCI Gig-Array High-Speed Connector
FCI, a leading manufacturer of connectors and interconnect systems, announces an extension of its GIG-Array® high-speed, high-density product line with the introduction of a new 13mm plug connector. These new GIG-Array mezzanine connectors provide either 200 or 296 signal contacts and add the capability for 18mm or 28mm board-to-board spacing when used in combination with the company's existing 5mm or 15mm receptacles.

FCI Metral® 4000 Connectors
Metral® 4000 high-speed backplane connectors from FCI® enable connections between I/O controller modules and Serial ATA (SATA) disk backplanes in servers and enterprise storage enclosures. Use of the connectors described in the Serial ATA II specification help define interoperability between I/O modules from one manufacturer and backplanes from another manufacturer.
