IRC Precision Ceramic BGA Resistors

IRC Precision Ceramic BGA Resistors

TT/IRC Advanced Film Division has developed a series of precision resistor networks in a ceramic ball grid array (BGA) package. The CHC-precision series is constructed with IRC's TaNFilm® technology, which produces precision tantalum nitride thin film resistive elements that are non-corrosive in humid environments. The self-passivating properties of the tantalum nitride material guarantees an exceptional ratio stability, as well as environmental protection that surpasses military requirements.

This single-sided BGA design reduces assembly costs by eliminating the need for top-side epoxy protection. The CHC-Precision Series Array features a resistance range from 10Ω to 100kΩ, and absolute tolerances to ±0.1% with ratio tolerances to ±0.5%. The element power rating for the array is 100mW at 70℃, with an operating temperature range from -55℃ to +150℃, and a maximum operating voltage of 50V. This series is ideal for applications that require precision tolerances and tight ratios, such as industrial and medical applications.
