Littelfuse Resettable PTC Devices The Polyfuse 0603L PPTC (polymer positive temperature coefficient) series offers an ultra-small 0603 (.063" x .032") size surface mount overcurrent protection alternative. Designed to serve the needs of protecting ever-smaller electronics, it is currently the smallest known polymer type PTC on the market today. Available in 4 hold current / maximum voltage ranges, each device is TUV and UL certified and possess a maximum fault current rating of 40A.

Similar to traditional fuses though automatically resettable, PPTCs provide overcurrent protection of sensitive electronics. PPTCs increase resistance as temperature increases due to increased current flow. They limit unsafe currents while allowing constant safe current levels, and reset when the current and temperature returns to a safe level.
