Designed specifically for high speed signals where no ground is available,
a recent addition to the Murata range is in the EIA 0201 format just 0.6
x 0.3 x 0.3mm.
Murata offers impedance values from 10-120W, with rated currents of 100-300mA and DC resistances of 0.4-1.5W. The ferrite material in all these devices has been developed in Murata’s own research center and is produced in their own material production plants making it unique to Murata.
The characteristics of this material provide a sharp “knee” at the selected frequency with minimal attenuation of the signal waveform. The various impedances allow matching to different signal frequencies.
Electrodes include nickel barrier protection providing excellent resistance to soldering heat and good solderability. As with almost all Murata products, this whole family of components is compatible with high speed mounting processes, where the small size and low weight ease processing. Packaging is on 180mm diameter reels in paper tape (for higher accuracy) containing 15,000 pieces.
