Vishay Ultrabright White SMD LEDs

The Vishay VLMW1100 LEDs utilize high-efficiency InGaN technology to provide exceptional brightness in a compact footprint (1.6 mm x 0.8 mm x 0.6 mm). Vishay VLMW1100 LEDs provide cost-effective illumination for applications including backlighting in automotive dashboards, switches, and keypads; indicators and backlighting in telecommunications systems, audio and video equipment, office equipment, and indoor and outdoor message boards; and flat backlighting for LCDs, switches, and symbols in general use. They offer an 80 angle of half-intensity, an extremely high luminous intensity ranging from 140 mcd to 280 mcd, and a typical color temperature of 5500 K. The LEDs feature an ESD-withstand voltage up to 1 kV. The SMD package, leadframe-based for high reliability in harsh environments, is filled with a mixture of epoxy and yellow converter. The yellow converter converts the blue emission partially to yellow, which mixes with the remaining blue to produce white. The package is lead (Pb)-free and RoHS-compliant.
