As with the 20mm devices, the 14mm devices are approved to UL1449 (TVSS) and UL1414 (Across the line capacitor) Standards. Additionally, these devices are presently being evaluated to numerous tests of the TCO standard UL1020, with results currently pending. Both 14 and 20mm devices also comply with Acclerated Aging Test requirements per. ANSI/IEEE C62.11 and may be used in secondary surge arrestors without repeating this test. ( more info )

The first set of LVSP fuses, now available, are rated for peak surge currents from 5 to 100 kA using the industry standard 8x20µsec waveform. The LVSP series is a UL recognized “MOV Protector Fuse” and as such is expected to aid TVSS system designers in gaining compliance with the UL 1449 standard for their “hard-wired” TVSS products. The Beta SL0902A series has been especially developed to offer high surge ratings in a miniature package. Unique design features offer high levels of performance on fast-rising transients in the domain of 100V/mS to 1KV/mS, which are those most likely from induced lightning disturbances. The device offers low insertion loss, so it is well suited to broadband equipment. The capacitance does not vary with voltage, so will not cause operational problems with ADSL2+ where capacitance variation across tip & ring is undesirable.
