The symposium is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in Irving, Texas.

Recognized as a top industry thought leader on this important issue of counterfeit avoidance, Sink speaks frequently in the U.S. and abroad addressing relevant counterfeit issues and ongoing critical legislation surrounding the topic.

At this event, Sink’s presentation will address “In Search of a Workable Counterfeit Risk Mitigation Strategy: Lessons Learned in Review of the Current State of the Electronics Industry Regarding Counterfeit Mitigation Requirements for Suppliers.” Sink commented on the awareness of counterfeit risk, “Although awareness has increased, the industry is still evolving to a risk-based approach whereby suppliers are categorized by the risk of the business model and the appropriate mitigation applied to each.”

Presented by SAE International, the event will address the increasing challenges facing aerospace and defense manufacturers caused by counterfeit parts entering the supply chain.
