Fort Worth, Texas – February 25, 2014 – TTI, Inc., the leading global distributor of interconnect, passive electromechanical and discrete components, announced today the company has outlined plans to present a health and wellness program to employees.

In conjunction with American Heart Month, TTI made heart health education a top priority. Traci Nelson, Director of Human Resources, commented, “Lifestyle changes are all about education and TTI is committed to giving our employees the tools they need to make healthful choices every day.” The four-week initiative offered employees valuable dietary tips, recipes and the latest research on cardiac health.

The program will go on to introduce several educational Lunch & Learn seminars offering cooking demonstrations and health-focused lectures. Employees can also look forward to on-site wellness events including an all-day health fair that will offer local food and wellness vendors and health information from current health care providers.

Also scheduled is an activity challenge designed to give employees the opportunity to track their physical activity for an eight week period. Employees who participate have the opportunity to win popular wellness related prizes. “The activity challenge was very popular last year and we anticipate even more participation this year as employees begin to see the benefits of the program,” Nelson said.
