Fort Worth, Texas – March 4, 2014 – TTI, Inc. a global distributor of connector, passive, electromechanical and discrete components, today announced the winners of its prestigious 2013 Americas Supplier Excellence Awards.
Melanie Pizzey, TTI Vice President Global Product Operations, made the announcement. “We are pleased to announce this year’s Supplier Excellence Award winners.” TTI acknowledges the following suppliers for their outstanding performance: Bourns, FCI, KEMET Electronics, KOA Speer Electronics, Littelfuse, Molex, Murata, Nichicon, Phoenix Contact, TDK and Vishay.
TTI presents Bourns, KEMET, KOA, Littelfuse, Phoenix Contact and Vishay with the Platinum award which is the highest award level given. Platinum achievement level requires five consecutive years of award recognition, and continuous recognition each year to maintain Platinum status. The Diamond Award for the highest overall point achievement and the Best Quality Award for the supplier who scored highest in each of the Quality categories will be presented to KOA Speer Electronics for the fourth year in a row acknowledging their distinguished performance in the Americas for 2013. The Silver award will be presented to FCI, Murata and TDK for three consecutive years of recognition. Nichicon will be honored with the Bronze award for two consecutive years of achievement, and Molex is a repeat winner.
In its third year, the Global Operations Excellence Award recognizes the supplier who earns the award in all three TTI regions – Americas, Europe & Asia, and who scores the highest total points globally. This year the Global Operations Excellence award is presented to Vishay. Pizzey commented, “Vishay has worked diligently throughout the year to support TTI in all three regions and the employees of Vishay are to be commended for their outstanding coordination of efforts to earn this most prestigious level of recognition.” The award ceremony will be held this year at the TTI Supplier Executive Breakfast Meeting at EDS in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.
The program is centered on quality measurements that include: on-time delivery, receiving quality, customer-reported quality, administrative quality, operations and business systems. In addition, there are performance measurements such as sales and management support. Pizzey said, “The TTI Supplier Excellence program has been instrumental in elevating supplier and distributor performance since the program’s inception in 1995. Each year we raise the bar in our criteria and we are pleased that more suppliers are embracing the program and striving for continuous improvement. Those who earned recognition for 2013 performance have demonstrated their dedication and commitment to excellence.”
