Fort Worth, Texas – February 22, 2016 – TTI, Inc., the leading authorized distributor of interconnect, passive, electromechanical and discrete components, has once again taken steps toward reducing its carbon footprint by completing the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a global carbon emissions report that evaluates the emissions output of individual companies within the supply chain.
Kevin Sink, TTI Vice President Total Quality, said, “This is the second year TTI has participated in the Carbon Disclosure Project and we are pleased with the results of the report that charts and analyzes our progress in reducing our global carbon footprint. By taking part in this evaluation, TTI is able to take its commitment to improving our environmental performance in the supply chain to a higher level.”
The CDP is an extremely rigorous evaluation of a company’s openness to share their initiatives and performance, (disclosure) and its progress in improving its carbon footprint through strategy, risk, and emission management, (performance). In the 2015 survey for disclosure, TTI scored 92 while the supply chain average was 60. Performance is scored by letter grade and TTI scored “B”, while the supply chain average was “D”.
TTI has a long history of environmental stewardship and as concern for the health of the planet escalates, TTI continues to strengthen its commitment to improve and protect the environment at home and around the world.
