Harwin SMT Spring Loaded Pogo Pins

Harwin Surface Mount (SMT) Spring Loaded Pogo Pins include a plunger (or head), barrel (or body), and a fully installed fine spring that delivers enough force to sustain positive contact. The SMT spring loaded Pogo Pins mate with any contact surface or SMT Contact Pads S70 series. These Pogo Pins come with a location peg or PC tail mounting. Harwin SMT spring loaded Pogo Pins feature an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Typically, SMT Pogo Pins are used in grounding, mobile phone antenna, shielding, and testing and measurement.

Normally you want to keep fingers off your PCB, but if those fingers are metallic and springy, then they can serve a useful function. Harwin offers surface mount spring contacts in a variety of styles and sizes for use in shielding, grounding, antenna connections, and other applications. Working heights range from 0.9mm to 6.95mm, and the small footprint makes them ideal for use in mobile devices, LED lamps, and other compact devices.

The contacts are rated for up to 9A and 10,000 mating cycles, with select contacts including a positive stop to prevent permanent setting due to over-stress. The range of styles provides designers with a great deal of flexibility to address different positioning and mechanical action requirements. Gold and tin finish options allow plating to match the mating surface to prevent corrosion, and the contacts are supplied in tape and reel packing for low-cost automated assembly.
