Honeywell HPM Series Particulate Matter Sensors are laser-based sensor that uses light scattering to detect and count particles. The laser light source illuminates a particle as it is pulled through the detection chamber. These particles pass through the laser beam, and the light reflects off the particles and is recorded on the photo or light detector. The light is then analyzed and converted to an electrical signal to calculate particle concentration. The Honeywell particle sensor provides information on the particle concentration for a given particle concentration range.
The HPM sensor’s Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) performance makes it possible for the device to operate more precisely in a variety of challenging industrial environments. These HPM sensors feature a 0µg/m3 to 1000µg/m3 detection concentration range, 100kHz switching frequency, and ±15% accuracy. These particulate matter sensors are ideally used for HVAC systems, indoor air quality monitors, and air purifier systems.
