Panasonic Industrial SD memory cards implement built-in industrial NAND flash memory. The Single Level Cell (SLC) and Multi Level Cell (MLC) SD cards have an exclusive Panasonic designed controller with programmed intelligence to improve reliability and performance. Embedded memory and user accessible formats are available.

Panasonic's SD memory cards are available in three different categories:

  • Consumer: 8GB, -25°C to +85°C, TLC (Triple-level Cell) –three bits share same cell, most cost effective
  • Consumer Plus: 4GB to 256 GB, -25°C to +85°C
    • Multi-Level Cell (MLC): 2 bits share same cell; more reliable than TLC, more cost-effective than SLC
    • Single Level- Lite (SLC-Lite): uses MLC cell, but only 1 bit per cell making it more reliable than MLC and more cost effective than SLC
  • Industrial: 512MB to 64GB, -40°C to +85°C
    • Multi-Level Cell (MLC): more reliable than TLC, more cost-effective than SLC
    • Single Level Cell (SLC): 1 bit per cell, most reliable
